What can I send?
A handwritten note, signature, a few meaningful words, child handwriting, a little drawing, or a selected section of a longer letter. Shorter pieces usually translate best into thread.

What works best?
The best Kept pieces usually say one thing and say it well. A sentence, a signature, a few words that matter, a little drawing, or a small section from a longer letter.
What if my note is too long?
Choose the part you would be most heartbroken to lose. A meaningful word or line usually work better than trying to fit too much onto an 5x7 piece.
What if my photo isn’t clear enough?
I’ll reach out before stitching if I need a better image. A clear photo or scan taken straight from above in good natural light works best.
Do I need to send the original note?
No. Please keep the original with you. A clear photo or scan is all I need.
Can you combine handwriting from different notes?
Each Kept Piece is created from one original note, signature, or drawing. More custom combining options may come later.
Can you stitch handwriting in another language?
Yes, as long as the handwriting is clear enough to recreate accurately.
Will it look exactly like the original handwriting?
I’ll stay as close to the original as I can, but thread on canvas will never behave exactly like pen on paper. Small variations are part of the process and part of what makes each piece its own.
What size is it?
Each Kept Piece is 5×7.
Does it come framed?
No. Every piece arrives unframed on natural cream canvas so you can choose a frame that fits your home and the piece itself.
What thread colors can I choose from?
Burgundy, brown, navy, and green.
How long does it take?
Please allow about 2–3 weeks before shipment. Each piece is made to order.
Will I get tracking?
Yes. You’ll receive tracking by email once your piece is on the way.
Can I change my order after I place it?
If you notice something right away, contact me as soon as possible. Once I’ve started preparing or stitching your piece, changes may not be possible.
What if I uploaded the wrong photo?
Contact me as soon as you can. If I haven’t started working on your piece yet, I’ll do my best to work through it with you.
What is your return policy?
Because every Kept Piece is custom-made from your submitted handwriting, all sales are final. If there is a problem with your order, please contact me.
